Try posting an affirmation around where you will see it. Sleep with it under your pillow. Follow your intuition (the guidance of the Spirit within you) as to what to do, and you will see how well it works.

My current affirmation is, “I have a lesson to learn through my breast cancer experience. I will learn it and be free.”
What is right for some - gay marriage or owning a gun - is wrong for others: "Marriage is between a man and a woman" (then call marriage between two of the same gender something else like domestic partnership as long as it give the same rights); "I have to protect myself and my family." A Course in Miracles states that our strength lies in our defenselessness!
Perspective is related to belief. How we look at the world is mostly formed by the beliefs instilled in us as we grew. Oh, by parents and other care givers, by teachers, peers and the society we live in at large.
One good reason not to judge others is that everything in one’s life is based on one’s perspective.

Beliefs CAN be changed! You can convince your subconscious mind (if you want to call it that) of anything.
